Kids’ Sea Camp in Palau

Exploring the Sea: Kids learn to diveThe family that dives together has fun together–at least that’s the goal at the third annual “Kid’s Sea Camp” in Palau.

Sam’s Tours’ Kids Sea Camp, in collaboration with Sport Diver Magazine and PADI Diving Society, offers dive and SASY packages for kids of all ages and abilities.

Little ones ages 4 – 7 can get their first introduction to snorkeling with a buoyancy control system (SASY) in a pool, and then visit the Palau International Coral Reef Institute for lots of “fishy” fun ($799/child).

Kids ages 8 and up can earn their PADI SEAL team 12 ft. certificate by completing aqua missions 1-5, and those ages 10-16 can earn their PADI Jr. Open Water certification. Jr. Open Water Diver packages include all class, pool, and open water sessions ($999).

Kids who already have their dive certification can enjoy 5 days of 2 tank diving with their family at famed Palau dive sites. There’s even a night dive, and diving with manta rays at German Channel.

Palau, Micronesia’s westernmost island chain, is renowned for its excellent diving. It offers calm protected waters, marine lakes, beautiful sand beaches and gorgeous landscape.

A basic family “Vacation Package” features seven nights of luxury accommodations; daily meals (seven breakfasts, six lunches and six dinners), a Welcome Dinner, Beach BBQ, Kramer’s and Graduation “Survivor Day.” Round-trip airport transfers and transportation for all excursions are included. Excursions include a trip to Rock Island Tour/Jellyfish Lake, a full-day guided Kayak Tour, Babeldaob Island Tour, Ngardmau Waterfall Hike and a visit to Palau International Coral Reef Center.

Dive packages include all of the above as well as five days of diving at the famed Palau dive sites.  For more information, call (800) 934-3483 or visit
